I understand your concern about so many drug clinics being placed in one area. Recently, I introduced a resolution that directs the Department of Health to conduct a geographical study which determines drug treatment accessibility and where there is a need for treatment facilities throughout the different counties of the commonwealth. Also, this resolution orders that a moratorium be placed on the issuance of new licenses for drug and alcohol treatment facilities until the study is completed.
You had a lot of good points about working to preserve farmland in Pennsylvania. It sounds like you are interested in setting up an Agricultural Security Area in Blair Township. I would encourage you to continue to work with the Conservation District in order to preserve farmland in the township. I would like to applaud your efforts for trying to preserve farmland in Blair Township and representing the interests of the citizens of Blair Township. Keep up the good work!
Rep. Jerry Stern
80th Legislative District
