Not intending to step on anyone's freedom of speech, however the submission No King but King Jesus is quite puzzling. Are we to debate the truthful existence of the historical character Jesus? Are we to query the relevance of the somewhat unprovable statement (since it is based on one's own belief)?
I hope that this forum will not become over run by those zealots that cannot contain their religious beliefs within their familiar circle and church. I will make the following pledge here and now: I will not invade your church with my political beliefs (the separation of church and state being a right I take seriously), and in return you don't invade this public forum with your pontification. Agreed?
On the subject of slogans, our history has seen many a slogan come and go--No King but King Jesus not being one of them. Peace and Prosperity, A Woman's Right to Choose, and Capitalism is Boring are a few of my favorites. Right now I can't think of any good one's about Texas.
Peace and Prosperity (it really is the Truth),
