These results are disappointing, but expected. There were very few candidates worth voting for on the ballot (as per usual) and of course the few who seemed like decent candidates, such as Marakay Rogers, received the least votes. No one was running against Dodson for mayor of Hollidaysburg and only five people were running to fill 4 open school board seats! We need more candidates, we need better candidates.
Or, could it be that the citizens of Blair have lost all faith in the political system. Make laws as they may. The laws do not represent the whole of the county, and it shows in the voter turnout.
A good point, though I think the two problems might be related.
