The PA Leadership Conference in Harrisburg I attended last March for the Campaign and Candidates class seems like years ago instead of months. I was trying to get the best grasp possible to see what it would take to win a seat on the Altoona City Council. Since starting the Campaign season in July I've knocked on over 1000 doors and have had the opportunity to discuss the issues with many concerned Altoona citizens. Apparently you should educate yourself more in the ways of becoming a politician since this is the route you so desire. As a politician, you are subjecting yourself to scrutiny and investigation by your potential voters. I do believe that it the right and obligation of a citizen to make other voters aware of the candidate if they have prior knowledge of a potential candidate's past. The "League" is back at it again; upon whose request, a mystery, they just conveniently appear out of thin air. On June 12, 2009 the Altoona Mirror entertained us with an article entitled, "League offers ideas for fiscal solvency", authored by William Kibler.
